2005 – Puerto Rico

San Juan

We stayed in San Juan, the capital of the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico.

The Spanish colony was attached by Holland in 1625, with a fleet of 17 ships and 800 men. The Dutch gave up after losing 400 men, but after this, the Spaniards realized that they needed a better defense, and they built San Cristobal.
