2011 – Norway

I made a trip to Norway in May.

Oslo

Oslo is the capital and largest city in Norway. I was there for Constitution Day, May 17. The Norwegian constitution dates from 1814, and it is celebrated with children's parades all over the country.

2008 – Eurovision tour

I drove with a friend from Oslo to Belgrade in Serbia to see the final of the Eurovision Song Contest. On the way, we stopped in Prague, Bratislava, Budapest and Timisoara.

2007 – Ukraine

In December 2007, I visited the second largest (by area) country in Europe - Ukraine.

Kyiv, the capital of Ukraine, has about 2.7 million inhabitants.

I visited the site for the worst nuclear accident in history. 55,000 people were living here before the accident. Now the city is empty.

I visited Prague again in 2007, 11 years after my last trip to the city.

I visited the Spanish capital, Madrid, and the nearby city of Toledo at the end of August.

Madrid is a relatively young city, but is today, with over 3 million inhabitants, one of the largest cities in Europe.
