I visited Western Norway in the summer.
I visited my family at Sotra in mid-June and experienced Norway at its best, with fantastic summer weather.
On June 9th, 2012, the 36th annual Market Day was held at the Fish Market in Bergen. This is a celebration of the coastal heritage around the largest city in western Norway.
I made a trip to Norway in May.
Oslo is the capital and largest city in Norway. I was there for Constitution Day, May 17. The Norwegian constitution dates from 1814, and it is celebrated with children's parades all over the country.
During a weekend trip to Riga, I also made a trip to the city of Jelgava south in Latvia.
Jelgava was the capital of the Duchy of Courland.
Spring is my favorite season in Norway.
The World's largest cruise ship, Freedom of the Seas, stopped in Oslo from the 26th to the 27th of April, on her maiden voyage.
We toured the west of Norway, together with my husband's mother and aunt. We saw Roms valley, Ålesund, Jølster, Bergen and Voss.
Warm days in Oslo are best spent at sea.
On our way to and from Copenhagen, we drove through Sweden. We stopped in Gothenburg and at the Uddevalla bridge.
The Uddevalla Bridge is on the road E6 between Gothenburg and Oslo. It was built in 2000.
On the 27th of January, 2005, the wife of my brother gave birth to a baby girl, and Anton and I went to Sotra to see the baby. We also visited Bergen.
My brother, Jan, and his whife, Magdalena, had their first baby on 27th of January, 2005.
Some pictures from Bergen by night, a rainy January night.
